Your consultation, step by step

From dismissal letter to a workable action list

See how a Byte Pilotcore dismissal protection consultation is prepared, conducted, and followed up.

1. Start with receipt, not the meeting around it

Your enquiry should state the date the written dismissal reached you and how it was delivered. German dismissal protection claims are generally subject to a three-week filing period. We check whether an appointment can be useful within the time available; a consultation booking itself does not stop the clock.

2. Send a restrained document set

For a standard dismissal review, we usually need the dismissal letter, employment contract and amendments, latest payslip, and any directly relevant warning or employer explanation. A concise chronology is more useful than an unsorted mailbox export. You remain responsible for removing unrelated third-party information.

3. Receive scope and fee confirmation

We confirm the consultation type, delivery format, fixed fee, and what is excluded. If immediate representation is the safer route, we say that before accepting a booking. Video details or Cologne office arrangements follow once the appointment is agreed.

4. Work through the decision map

The appointment begins with dates, employment status, workplace size, and your practical aim. We then address notice period, grounds, special protection, works council involvement, alternative employment, settlement terms, and evidence only where relevant to your facts.

5. Use the written follow-up

Your summary separates urgent actions from questions that can wait. It may include documents to preserve, points to raise with a lawyer, Agentur für Arbeit notification considerations, and questions for the employer. It is not a court pleading and does not create a guaranteed result.

Before the appointment

Choose a private location, have the original documents available, and reserve the full session. If new correspondence arrives, forward it before the agreed cut-off rather than introducing a large document set during the meeting.
