Who this review is for

This consultation is for employees in Germany who have received a written dismissal, whether ordinary, extraordinary, operational, conduct-related, or personal. It is especially useful when you are unsure whether the Kündigungsschutzgesetz applies, how the notice period was calculated, or whether to seek a settlement or reinstatement.

A dismissal protection claim generally must reach the labour court within three weeks after receipt of the written dismissal. The consultation does not pause or extend that period. If little time remains, tell us the receipt date in your first message.

What is included

Before the meeting, we review the dismissal letter, relevant contract clauses, and a short chronology supplied by you. During the 75-minute appointment, we examine:

• the date and method by which the notice was received;
• company size, length of service, probation, and any special protection;
• the stated or apparent grounds for dismissal;
• contractual, statutory, or collective-agreement notice periods;
• works council questions and any prior warnings;
• practical aims: continued employment, a reference, release from duties, or settlement discussions.

Within two working days, you receive a written action summary that records key dates, open questions, documents to preserve, and the recommended next professional step.

What is not included

The fixed fee does not include court representation, filing a Kündigungsschutzklage, contacting your employer, negotiating a severance payment, tax advice, or an open-ended review of unrelated workplace disputes. Where formal legal work is needed, we explain why prompt instruction of a Rechtsanwalt or trade-union legal service matters.

Preparation

Send only the dismissal letter, employment contract, relevant amendments, recent payslip, and directly connected warnings or correspondence. Note the exact date and approximate time the dismissal reached you. Please redact third-party personal data where it is not needed.

Timing and delivery

Appointments are held by encrypted video throughout Germany or in person at our Cologne office. Allow 75 minutes without interruption. The written summary follows within two working days. Complex cases involving insolvency, cross-border contracts, public-sector rules, or senior executive status may require a separately quoted specialist review.
